This talk will examine the potential for using indigenous biomass as a source of energy in Ireland. All of the energy in the country was sourced internally in the not too distant past. However Ireland has gradually become more dependent on supplies of fossil fuel. 91% of our energy needs now come from imported fossil fuels. The talk will explore how this balance can be addressed and the role that bioenergy can play.
