"An Evening with Dr Aidan Nulty"

The evening will begin with an interview format, with Gerald Fleming, Head of Forecasting Met Éireann acting as the interviewer. Following this, the audience will get their turn to quiz Dr Aidan Nulty on his 30 years of Forecasting. This will be the first time that the Irish Met Society will host an interview type lecture.
Aidan Nulty began working in Met Éireann in 1978 having completed a Ph.D. in Physics in UCD. Folowing short stints in Rosslare and Shannon Airport, Aidan started working in the central forecasting office (CAFO). He was part of the RTÉ weather team for 16 years from June 1983 to January 1999. After a long career in forecasting, Aidan retired in April 2010.
