Brief Biography:

Dr Kevin McGuigan is a Senior Lecturer in Medical Physics with the Department of Physiology and Medical Physics in the RCSI. He graduated from NUI Maynooth in 1985 with a BSc in Physics and Mathematics and received his PhD in Physics from Dublin City University in 1989. Dr McGuigan is active in research in the area of solar disinfection of drinking water for use in developing countries.

 

About the lecture:

In his lecture Dr. Kevin McGuigan will discuss how something as simple as sunlight could help solve the problem of contaminated drinking water in developing countries.
