16 March: The Tellus Survey: Mapping the Ground from the Air – Dr James Hodgson, Geophysics Programme Manager for the Tellus Project, Geological Survey Ireland 

27 April: Climate Ireland - Supporting Decision Making Under an Uncertain Climate Future – Barry O’Dwyer, PhD, Senior Post Doctoral Researcher, MaREI Centre, Beaufort Building - Environmental Research Institute (ERI), University College Cork

27 April at 7.15 pm: The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Irish Meteorological Society will take place on Thursday.

22 June at 18:30:  Irish National Flood Forum:  Blackpool  Community  Flood  Warning  System

Public Talk - Thursday 22nd June 2017

Custom House, Dublin at 18:30 (Refreshments from 18:00)

The speakers,Tadhg O’Leary, Blackpool Flood Resilience Group and Tony Maguire, Chartered Engineer, will describe the background to a community initiative to develop a local flood warning system for  the River Bride at Blackpool, Cork.
