Seminar on Weather and Aviation

The Irish Meteorological Society will organise a half-day Seminar on Aviation and Weather in the National Botanic Gardens’ Lecture Theatre, Glasnevin, on the morning of Saturday, 10 December.

The speakers on the day will be:

Paul McCann, Irish Aviation Authority: Weather Impact on Air Traffic Control and Airport Operations
Jurgen Whyte, Air Accident Investigation Unit/Dept. of Transport: Meteorological Reporting in the Air Accident Investigation Process
Kieran Commins, Met Éireann: Weather from a Glider Pilot's Point of View
Malcolm White, Irish Balloon Flights: Meteorology, Ballooning and World Records

The Seminar promises to be a fascinating insight into the impact of weather on the activities of various parts of the aviation sector.
