We will first visit the historic Hook Head Lighthouse and Heritage Centre where we will be given a guided tour of the Lighthouse (the oldest intact operational lighthouse in the world).
Following lunch at the Templars Inn, we will visit the John. F. Kennedy Park near New Ross for a tour of sections of the park of meteorological interest, including the phenological garden, where measurements of plant growth are conducted throughout the growing season to form annual records that can be used to detect weather and climate variations. Provision for those with limited mobility will be made.
